After Google's acquisition of Motorola announced to the public, Samsung is also one of the main Google co-worker, said he was happy with that decision. But the rumors just the opposite. In front of the public may congratulate Motorola Samsung but backstage Samsung Motorola reportedly angry because the purchase would lead to the emergence of an increasingly sharp competition between Motorola and Samsung that are equally as a manufacturer of Android devices.
Samsung Electronics Chairman, Lee Kun-hee, is reported to hold an impromptu meeting with his staff after Google announced akusisisi Motorola. At the end of the meeting Mr. Lee said that the strength of IT must shift from merely a hardware provider companies like Samsung to be the provider of the software. Reported by the Korean-language site, Yonhap News.
Lee's concerns related to Samsung's rivals such as Motorola, Nokia, Apple and other companies, which already has the power and role in the software ecosystem for smartphones and tablet; Apple with IOS, Nokia Phone with Microsoft through the Windows OS, and now Motorola has been owned by Google which is the owner of the Android OS.
Lee also ordered his staff to actively seek mergers and acquisitions of other companies. It indicates that the Samsung is ready to spend big to buy a software company, although the Samsung says they have no immediate plans for it. And of course, Samsung still has the Bada OS; software they design and develop its own though in practice must be displaced because of Samsung's focus on the production of Android devices.
