Motorola Admiral goes official, a push-to-talk Android phone | preview | download

Motorola Mobility has officially announced Motorola Admiral, an Android phone with a portrait QWERTY keyboard. 

 
 
The Motorola Admiral is designed to meet the toughest condition, it is Military Standard 810G certified for dust, shock, vibration, solar radiation, low pressure and high and low temperatures. Even the 3.1-inch VGA screen is protected with the scratch resistant Gorilla Glass.
Under the hood, the Motorola Admiral has a 1.2GHz processor and running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It is an EVDO device that works with Sprint’s CDMA 3G network to provide the gold-standard push-to-talk capabilities of Sprint Direct Connect.

Other specs include a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, and a 4GB internal storage. The Android phone also supports WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and accepts microSD cards up to 32GB.

The Motorola Admiral is expected to be priced at $99 (approx. RM 315) after a $50 mail-in rebate.
