Samsung's mobile instant messaging tool - ChatON, was first introduced back August, but it looks like Samsung is finally rolling out the app on the Android market.
ChatON promises texting, group chat and image/ video sharing to on the Android platform (Froyo and up). The app will also be preloaded on to bada smartphones and selective feature phones from Samsung starting October.
A quick check on ChatON's webpage says that it is coming to iOS, Android and the BlackBerry platform as well, and Samsung confirms it will be available for other platforms gradually by the end of 2011.
ChatOn will be available in two versions - a basic one for feature phones and the other one will be integrated with extra (social) features that will allows smartphone users to comment on other profile, send animated messages and pull up their most frequently contacted friends. Additionally, Samsung is also planning to release a web-based version that would bring ChatON to the PC.
