Google and Samsung have officially announced the Galaxy Nexus, a Google experience phone.
At a glance, the Galaxy Nexus retains the curved design from the Nexus S, but with a sleeker profile, measuring only 8.94mm thin. It is design in a way that it would “feel natural” to hold the phone or simply keep the phone in the pocket.
The specifications of the Android flagship device are pretty much same with the leaks except for some minor differences. It has a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD display with 1280 x 780 resolution pixels.
Featuring a 1.2GHz dual-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM, the smartphone will be running on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It comes with either 16GB or 32GB internal storage.
The Galaxy Nexus will be equipped with a 5-megapixel main camera with LED flash and a zero lag shutter. It has the capability of recording 1080p full HD video. It has a 1.3-megapixel front facing video camera.
Connectivity-wise, the device supports HSPA+ and LTE (region dependent), WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, NFC and GPS.
The Galaxy Nexus will be available in the US, Europe & Asia beginning in November and gradually rolled out to other global markets.
