RIM offers free apps to make up for disrupted service | preview | download

If you are one of the many BlackBerry users out there, you may have experienced a number of disruptions to BB services - ranging from the inability to send emails, send messages via BBM or browsing the web.

Well, RIM is making up for the disruption with $100 worth of free apps to BlackBerry subscribers. The free-miums apps will be made available on Wednesday, October 19th to users on App World and the offer will continue until December 31th. There will be 12 titles to start off with, and RIM plans to give away more apps for free.

Enterprise users will be offered one month of free Technical Support. Users who do not currently have a Technical Support contract will be offered a one month trial of RIM's BlackBerry Technical Support Services - Enhanced Support.

RIM Co-CEO Mike Lazaridis issues another apology and said that RIM is taking 'immediate and aggressive steps to help prevent something like this from happening again'.

So what say you BlackBerry users, has RIM's apologies and gifts melted away the hate yet?
