Developer Steven Troughton-Smith has collaborated with 9to5Mac to port the iPhone 4S exclusive, Siri voice assistant to the original iPhone 4.
Initially, the hack appears to be sluggish and has a number of flaws. According to 9to5Mac, this is caused by the Apple's server refused to accept any commands from an iPhone 4 hardware and the missing GPU driver that is needed by the iPhone 4 in order for Siri to run smoothly. Nevertheless, it is confirmed that Siri can run on an iPhone 4 and it is not being limited because of hardware restriction.
Of course, Troughton-Smith and the 9to5Mac community will continue to fine tune Siri for the iPhone 4. As for now, they have improved the overall performance of Siri drastically, but still couldn’t reach Cupertino's server.
