The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 comes with the TouchWiz UX that runs on top of Google Android 3.1. One of the cool features of the TouchWiz UX is the Mini Apps Tray. Samsung has packed the Mini Apps tray with a few essential apps like the Task Manager, Calendar, World Clock, Pen Memo, Calculator and Music.

The Mini Apps Tray actually enhances your multi-tasking experience. If you received an email about an appointment, you can quickly access to the Mini App Tray by tapping the up arrow key, then select Calendar to record your appointment date.

Pen Memo

Another scenario is when you browse the Internet for some cocktail recipes, you can simply fire up the Pen Memo to jot down the ingredients. 

In addition, the app launched from the Mini Apps tray will always stays on top of the screen. For example, you are running the Pen Memo, you can switch from your browser to your eBook without closing the Pen Memo. Until you are done with it, you can dismiss the app by tapping on the cross button.
